Onedrive has a aria problem (and no it's not the casino!)

I woke up to check on my PRTG status, as I'm testing some networking hardware and I got a critical warning that the PRTG server was stopped due to low disk spae and I was like "wtf I have at least 150GB free on my SSD" and low and behold I searched for "gigantic" file size on the windows search and BOOM! A 140gb ARIA DEBUG LOG FILE! I promptly looked to see what it was and it was ONEDRIVE MAKING THOSE YUGE FILES! So then I have to close onedrive down and do the reset thing that's on this forum: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-files-winpc/aria-debug-log-files-took-all-free-disk-space/15bcfd42-2627-4c03-8342-5c2500f2ec42 and then I manually delete the aria debug files...  this frustrates me because I lost critical test data from PRTG!!!  Microsoft has some splaining to do!

Time for tech--->Mac vs PC vs Linux--->what is better for me?

many people ask me this.... I am pretty unbiased, as I like a little of all 3 camps. Here's a guide to help you choose and what I think about each platform Apple Mac OSX: + *solid hardware that lasts long time *can run photoshop and a lot of creative software *the OS is secure (according to specs so far, however the increasing popularity may change this) *you will look better in the eyes of the people that care about that kinda thing *bootcamp will allow you to run windows on it - *more expensive *lack of games *os needs a lil of a learning curve (not too bad though) *Os has it's customization limits *the "hip" culture of it might turn people off sometimes Windows based PC: + *lower cost of entry *software selection *customization is medium *more hardware choices *better bang for the buck on hardware *better for gaming - *security isn't the best, however you can secure it pretty good *licensing costs are kinda high for consumer versio...

time for tech--->Firefox 5.0 has been released!

Update... I got the scrolling addon, the screen capture one to work! Here's how I got that to work: save the add-on .xpi to your desktop you must navigate to the addons page (not using the addon browser, but going to the ff addons site) and right click on the download button>save as> save the xpi file then: rename the .xpi to .zip open the zip and extract the install.rdf open the install.rdf with any text editor find 4.0.* could be any version number edit to 5.0.* save and put back in zip overwriting the original and save zip rename .zip back to .xpi open firefox and "install add-on from file" find modified .xpi  So this is how you get those addons working that won't work in the latest version of FF! easy and nice! installed.... some critical addons not working like my realplayer one and my smooth scrolling one.... will wait a lil to use it... Here's a lil performance graph: 20 tabs, 25 browser actions, flash/html5 not loaded yet: will...

Windows Phone 7:Thoughts

Image
Ahh the windows phone 7 has been announced and it looks promising: Runs on nvidia's tegra 2 platform, witch means a rich media experince--->Games will run much smoother and better then other mobile platforms (not including the PSP and NDS) Movies will be watched in ultra smooth HD with no problems. has social networking intergration has xbox live intergration as well as zune intergration However I think that the interface does need a little work and it could be possibly the best USA launched mobile device. I would actually like an interface on this phone to have the following criteria to make it worthwhile: 1) Crisp, clear graphics that can be read from a ways away->this is very important if the device will be used as a GPS mounted on the dashboard of a vehicle, the driver must be able to see it from the driver's seat very easily. 2)customizable look and feel->this is extremely important, becuase each user wants something different. This also makes the...

Damn it's been a while! I've been through alot, but I'm not gonna post much personal details on this site. :) I will update you all on a few things ;) I have changed my mind on the obama adminstration, he needs to clean the congress out because it's full of panderers. I'm not going to go too deep into the political commentary though. Another thing is I've gotten Windows Server 2008 x64 Enterprise Workstion (very long winded!) I've gotten it at the beginning of november actually! and it's a very solid OS I have had uptimes of 4 months average and only been taken down by one driver update and 3 power outages. pretty damn awesome for a windows operating system. I guess the server division of MS isn't that bad. my screenshot!!! Larger one: i44.tinypic.com/24xdiiq.jpg There's a website at http://www.win2008workstation.com/ that will tell you how to get the tricked out workstation experince without the vista bloat! Not much elese is going on. :) I hop...
