New layout changes and some commenting changes

We decided to change the layout and attempt to get Disqus comments working again, as people have told us that they haven't been working for a couple-three months, well it still is failing to work even on different layouts, code edits, etc. So we are forced to use the default comment system for now... I know it's frustrating not being able to log in with FB,twitter, etc... however please be patient and if you have something urgent to say, please take the time to register or use google/openID/etc for the time being while Disqus/Google work on their issues. So sorry for the trouble with this, however it seems beyond our control, as we have worked hours on this and no luck. Also please feel free to send feedback on the new layout. I like it so far, however, this blog is here for YOU so feel free to submit feedback! Thank you for visiting and we will get back to writing our very detailed and awesome reviews soon! (we are working on better test methods and getting better te...

Time for tech--->Do you STILL trust Microsoft to build antivirus support into Windows 8?

OK... Microsoft has announced that Windows 8 will have built in Anti-virus client. This sounds really cool because you don't have to worry about messing with installing anti-virus anymore right..... wrong! You still have to worry because Microsoft Security Essentials has declared Google chrome as a Trojan! Earlier today , we learned that the Microsoft Security Essentials tool began falsely identifying Google Chrome as a piece of malware (”PWS:Win32/Zbot”) and removing it from people’s computers. Lots of people are using Google Chrome. (I, however use and prefer Firefox though) This is also a weird piece of news.... IE's market share has fallen the most in a long time.... Google's is increasing They totally did this on purpose to get less people to use chrome by making it a trojan in MSE. This is very pathetic of MS and something an angsty teen would do, not a professional software company. Also what about people that want to use alternate media pla...

Time for Tech--->Google Maps for Android Labs Offers Offline Caching

Google Maps for Android Labs Offers Offline Caching They are gonna need a more offline version due to all the extreme capping the cell phone providers are doing.(many are only having it at 2GB and for navving that would be blown quickly) it would be nice to have a whole region on your smartphone. You can just download the maps with wifi at home for free and then take it on your trip without needing to be raped on data charges for a 1,000 mile trip. I know that with some prepaid plans some people have had to pay 8 bucks worth of data charges for a 20 mile trip and that all adds up eventually you're paying upwards of 40-50/mo just to navigate. for those people who can't get regular contract data this would be a godsend. all the data not wasted for just navving can be used for web browsing and many would be very happy about this. and phone can definitly hold the data... on regular GPS units they have around 4GB of int. mem. and the map usage was around 1.8-3GB for the whole ...

time for tech--->Microsoft Has Acquisition Deal With Nvidia

This site has reported this: what about apple and linux now? driver support could be bad now!! this is a scary prediction.... we now have microsoft+nvidia we now have apple+intel we now have linux/droid+AMD a tri-opoly.... intel reads this and announces that they will step up GPU efforts and have stronger alliance with apple amd reads this and works better with linux as a response and helps fuel development allies with google. The thing is this could also create higher prices for the consumers, due to the pressures nvidia has with microsoft. Linux driver development with nvidia will be shafted as a result and AMD might take advantage of that and help them. intel will work stronger on thier GPU developments and create discreet GPUs that will be more powerful then thier current GMA series.  They might have a stronger alliance with apple as a result and apple will gain more ground marketshare

last post of may--->fanboism and how destructive it is

This was in response to this: Apples sues teenager who sold White iPhone Conversion kit I dislike apple becuase of thier closed off environment, thier prices, and the general arrogance of jobs and co. and the cult like obsession with it. I know there's a microsoft equivalent, but it's not as creepy or aggressive. I also hate the fact there are so many who seem to kiss thier buttocks and make excuses for them or any company. I make no excuses for companies. If you continue to kiss butt about it you are actually hurting those companies by not letting them know something is wrong.... I always provide feedback to businesses and it helps them. I also vent about problems they don't fix on forums so they know that the knowledge is public and people are aware of it. apple users, or some dub them iholes, never seem to want to do so. they think they are perfect, when they are not, and it's disgusting. same with MS fanboys. same with linux fanboys. fanboisim i...
