Texas RoadHouse review 4.8.12

Please note: This will be written as an update to the prev. review.

Please also note: We went on easter sunday. This may have an effect on employee performance. We went to be pampered and we were dissapointed.

Our waiter was very pleasant and attentive and served us very quickly and got us situated quickly... in the beginning... We got our drinks and my side salad quickly.

However the main course took a while, and the place was not very packed at all.

I will get into the orders now:

Order 1: (mine) Chicken Portabella: Mine was ok. Not as good as the other times. Not as filling though. I also had a loaded backed potato. It was fine but not as good tasting as the last times and rather small.

Order 2: (sister's): Sirloin tips: Hers were very tough and burnt. They were unedible for her. I tried one and it was hard to chew it. I had to spit it out because it actually hurt my jaws to eat it. Tips are supposed to be very soft and loaded with gravy and melt in your mouth... these did not. They were far from it. Her mashed potatoes were ok, nothing to write home about.

We told the waiter that and he got the manager and he got out another plate for my sis and it was a little better but not that much. Prolly only 30-40% better, however, we did  not want to fuss too much about it so my sis took it and ate it. It was ok but not the mouthwatering soft juicy Tips you are supposed to get at one of these places. Also tasted too much on the smoky jerky side and Tips are supposed to be on the fuller, wider, tasting side and be served with mushrooms and absorb some of the mushroomy goodness.

The manager was nice but not very descriptive and not as informative as the manager at Longhorn Steakhouse in Morgantown,WV. He took 10 dollars off the check.

The staff was not as thrilled to be here today and this could have been the reason why, however that is no excuse to give anyone else a bad time.

My overall rating:2.5 stars My sister's: 2 stars
